Brief Screening Assessment Sessions:
- Approx 5 -6 children can be seen in a morning session
- 15 - 20 minutes per child to identify general SLCN
- Brief written summary to guide parents and staff
- Signposting to other professionals where appropriate
- Strategies for small group and classroom work
Detailed Assessment Session:
- Half day session for 1 child with specific SLCN
- 1:1 assessment session with child, and classroom observation
- Written report with recommendations, strategies and support in referring on to outside agencies where appropriate
- Time spent with parent/s and staff to discuss strategies for home and school
